Sommeren 2009 er det avdekket arkeologiske funn fra eldre steinalder på Darbu nær ved Gamle Kongsbergvei. Funnene er foreløpig datert til å være 12 000 år gamle. Flintavslag og flekker av flint er gjenstandene som er funnet. Dateringen viser ifølge arkeologer fra Buskerud fylkeskommune at de første menneskene kom til Darbu for omtrent 12 000 år siden.
